The presentation will go over an introduction to Access Management and its key components as well as the evolution of Access Management from pre-2000 to now, based on our observations of the space. We will talk about the current trends related to Access Management and spend some time discussing the use of Roles. The presentation will include an overview of the vendors in the space and a quick overview of what each vendor brings to the table. We will conclude with a summary of the various Access Management components and how they all tie in together.

IT organizations in large enterprises encounter considerable pressure to demonstrate regulatory compliance cost-effectively. Unfortunately, many identity compliance processes such as user provisioning, access reviews, entitlements certifications and segregation of duties are manual and inefficient, resulting in high administrative overhead heightened risk because compliance gaps are not identified and remediated quickly. This session will provide an overview of the various technologies and best practices that are available to help organizations streamline identity compliance initiatives and help demonstrate compliance with regulations such as SOX, PCI and HIPAA.
